An eyebrow brush is essential when doing your eyebrows. It’s going to help blend in the product and make your eyebrows look more natural. Your eyebrows define your face and help tie the overall look you’re going for.

There are multiple brands out there that offer different brushes, each one with its own purpose. When it comes to choosing the right one for you there are a couple of factors that you should consider such as the product you are pairing it with, the price point you are willing to pay, and your personal preference, of course.

Choosing the right eyebrow brush can be a bit overwhelming, especially when walking down the aisles at a beauty store. But no need to worry, I am going to share with you what to look for in an eyebrow brush, 4 must-have eyebrow brushes, and a step-by-step process of how to fill in your eyebrows.

This post is all about eyebrow brushes.

All you need to know about an eyebrow brush

As mentioned above an eyebrow brush is essential in making sure your eyebrows look great and help achieve the brow look you want. It’s also going to help separate the hairs and blend in the product. If you apply the product to your eyebrows before brushing them out, the product will clump and cause your eyebrows to look super dark. Another thing to consider is the material the brush is made with and the shape of the brush.

The brow shape you want is going to help you determine what brush you should purchase.

  • Thin eyebrows = angled brush, to help create natural and hair-like strokes
  • Medium brows = dual brush
  • Full /thick brows = brow and comb brush

Most eyebrow brushes are made from synthetic hair, although there are brushes made from natural hair but are not as popular. Keep in mind that the more expensive synthetic brushes are made with better quality bristles. However, don’t let the price discourage you. You want to look beyond the brand and price of the product. Look for a brush that is multipurpose and one that is going to suit your brow needs.

Another thing to keep in mind is the product you are going to be pairing the brush with. If you are using an angled brush consider using a pomade cream or a gel product (easier to apply). A dual brush usually works well with all types of eyebrow fillers.

At the end of the day, you want to choose a brush that is going to help you achieve the brow look you want without breaking the bank.

The moment you have been waiting for. Here is the list of the best 4 eyebrow brushes. If you have never used any of these brushes that’s okay. I am going to share with you the purpose of each brush, the price point, and the pros & cons. Make sure to keep on reading for a step-by-step process to follow on how to fill in your eyebrows using any of the eyebrow brushes mentioned down below.

1. Morphe  (Duo brush)

This eyebrow brush is highly popular in the makeup industry and it’s rated one of the best. The reason is that it’s a duo brush that is going to help you create any eyebrow look. The spoolie (the side with the fibers ) will help comb your eyebrows while the flat brush will help outline and define the brow. You can find this brush at a beauty store for around $10-$12.

Pros

  • Helps create any look
  • Easy to use
  • Duo brush

Cons

  • More expensive than other makeup brushes

2. E.L.F. ( Brow Comb and Brush)

This brush is also great to use because like the morphe brush it’s also a duo brush. The only difference is that this one has both brushes on one side. As mentioned in the title, one of the brushes is a comb and the other one is a brush. The comb side is going to help smooth out the brow while the brush side is going to help soften the hair texture and help blend in the product. This brush is great to use if you are going for full-thick eyebrows. You can find it at any drugstore, beauty store, or online for around $5-$7.

Pros

  • Affordable
  • 100% vegan
  • Multipurpose use

Cons

  • Some pay prefer a flat or spoolie brush

3. E.L.F. (Eyelash & Brow Wand)

Another great product to use is the E.L.F. spoolie brush. This brush, unlike the others only has one brush but don’t let that discourage you this brush works great. It helps shape and contour your brows. It can also help you create the classic arch or perfectly blend in any area where there are no hairs. Out of the 4 brushes, this one is the most affordable at $2-$5.

Pros

  • Affordable
  • 100% vegan
  • Multipurpose use

Cons

  • Not dual-ended

4. Dior ( Dual Brush)

Last but not least is the Dior dual brush. I think by this point it’s safe to say that duo brushes are the best brushes to use. You are getting 2 brushes in 1 product. With the Dior brush, you are getting a flat angled brush that is going to help define the brows and a spoolie that can be used to style both your brow and lashes. The brush is made with soft synthetic fibers to help you achieve a flawless application. This brush is the most expensive out of the 4, ranging from about $25-$30.

Pros

  • Not scratchy
  • Multipurpose use
  • Provides precise application
  • Durable

Cons

  • Expensive

Step-by-Step Process

If you have never used an eyebrow brush this is going to be a game changer. It took me forever to figure out how to fill in my eyebrows correctly and make them look natural. I don‘t have any hair on the arch of my eyebrow so filling them in was always a struggle. If this sounds like you, then keep on reading to get the perfect eyebrows each and every time.

  1. Brush out your eyebrows using an eyebrow brush to separate the hairs. Brush the inner part of your eyebrows upwards and the outer part downward.
  2. Once you have brushed out your eyebrows, using a gel pen, tint pen, or pomade cream you are going to draw/fill in your eyebrows.
  3. Start by drawing a line halfway through your eyebrow (arch) and connecting it to the end. Do this to both the top and the bottom. Then at the entrance of your brow, with a light hand create small hair-like strokes upwards. This is going to make your eyebrow look fuller and more natural.
  4. Once you have achieved the look that you are going for, take your eyebrow brush and lightly brush your eyebrow to blend everything together.
  5. This step is optional but it’s going to help make your eyebrows look more defined and help clean up any errors. Using an angled brush take a little bit of concealer and outline the top and bottom of your eyebrow.
  6. Using a beauty blender, blend the concealer around your eyes.
  7. Tada! You are all done. You have the perfect eyebrows.

TIPS

  • When filling in your eyebrows choose the brow color that’s closest to your hair color to make them look more natural.
  • Remember to use a light hand while filling in your eyebrow to avoid them looking too dark.
